NFL’s Ian Rapsheet said there was “significant” ground to cover between the parties. Things were grim. Until they weren’t.Schefter obviously softened on his prior characterization. The fact that both sides are still negotiating is very reassuring. For comparison, it sounds like Jadeveon Clowney is not even negotiating with the Houston Texans. Jarrett is obviously not ready to play out the franchise tag and his free agency in 2020.My guess is Jarrett’s agent wants to use Aaron Donald’s contract as a starting point and move back. The Falcons probably want to look at a more comparable players like Fletcher Cox and move up. That’s a difference of about $5.5 million per year. Spotrac projects his value well below both at $15.5 million per year. That number looks surprisingly low. If both sides come to the middle, Jarrett should average around $20 million or so per season.What does this mean? It is unlikely we will know how this shakes out until today’s deadline at 4pm. They probably will not have a deal done early. At 6-2 Stitched Isaiah Oliver Jersey , 200lbs, Riley Ridley is one of the top wide receiver prospects in the 2019 NFL Draft. As a freshman at Georgia, he was a solid contributor before emerging as the Bulldogs’ best receiver in 2018, in which he finished with 43 receptions, 559 yards Youth Isaiah Oliver Jersey , and 9 touchdowns. Riley also happens to be the brother of Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Calvin Ridley, which would make for a fun receiver room. Depending on which prospect ranking you follow, some have Riley as a 1st round projection, while some have him going as late as the 4th round. The Falcons obviously shouldn’t use a 1st or 2nd pick on him, but what about a 3rd or 4th? With the departure of WR Justin Hardy to free agency Stitched Tony Gonzalez Jersey , and knowing Mohamed Sanu may only be back for another season, selecting Riley as a value pick wouldn’t be the worst move, and it would probably help them keep Calvin Ridley around in four seasons. The wide receivers will test on the field on Saturday at the NFL Combine. We’ll have to see if Ridley is in this team’s plan come April.
