NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the deal is for five years and worth “roughly $20 million.” The contract should keep him in a Chiefs uniform until 2024.Butker, 23, had been on the books to make $645,000 in 2019 after signing his exclusive rights free agent tender this offseason. The extension prevents Butker from becoming a restricted free agent next offseason. The Chiefs originally signed Butker off the Carolina Panthers’ practice squad back in October of 2017.
