After care for the liposuction. How important is it? What are the key things to be kept in mind?
Liposuction is a keyhole surgery done under spinal or general anesthesia. It is a day care procedure. Patient can come to the surgery in the morning and can go back in the evening. Recovery is simple and uneventful.
After the surgery there will be edema of the skin which will last for 2-3 weeks. Once the edema subsides the inch loss will be much more visible. There can be bruises on the skin which subsides by 10-15 days. Initially it will be bright red later gradually becomes dull red then blue followed by yellow later it disappears without leaving any discoloration on the skin.
